Elizaveta Marries Joseph Wearing Custom Helena Couture Designs.

When I started dating, without giving away my age too much, there was no such thing as Tinder.  There was also no such thing as the internet, where online dating takes place.  Forget about being able to VoIP.  There was also no such thing as a mobile phone and the only phones where land line connected, and they weren’t cordless and definitely couldn’t take photos or text.

Elizaveta is now one of many brides, who utilizes what technology has to offer, from meeting Joseph online (who is now her husband), to Skyping her fittings to close family and friends.  Video conferencing with her friends and family during her fittings made it even more special for the two of us and then being able to meet some of them at her final fitting was extra rewarding.

Liz truly was such a pleasure to work with. Her easy going, fun nature, love of life and trust in me was beyond what I could ever have asked for.  My career never feels like work but with Elizaveta it felt like we were always celebrating at a party.

This Is Their Story…

How we met: 
We actually met on Tinder, went on a first coffee date and were pretty much inseparable ever since! We moved in together three months after starting to see each other, then two years later Joe proposed in New Zealand where we were on a family cruise.

Our wedding:
We got married on 7th June 2019 at Coolibah Down, Gold Coast. I wish I could share the vows however they are currently sealed in our anniversary wine box that we’re supposed to open and celebrate one year together 😂 We had a very lighthearted ceremony and reception, our vision of the wedding was to have an amazing time with family and friends without too many formalities, and this was certainly achieved.

The dress:
I first saw Helena’s work at the wedding expo on the Gold Coast and fell in love with her styles immediately. I never really wanted to go through a “cookie-cutter” wedding salon experience and got instantly inspired by the custom approach. We pretty much agreed on the design from the get-go during the first fitting, and it only got better from there! Helena didn’t create the dress of my dreams – rather, she created something much better, as she is a magical designer, not me 😍 The process was easy, fun and thoroughly enjoyable, and even my mum from overseas got to Skype in for a few fittings!

I couldn’t have had a better experience and will cherish my own little wearable masterpiece forever!
