The French Quarter Showcasing Persephone, By Helena Couture Designs, Gold Coast Bridal

Ooh La La! Styled Bridal Elopement Shoot, Encapsulating European Elegance, In Our Very Own Backyard On The Gold Coast, With Helena Couture Designs And Her Team Of Talented Wedding Professionals .

Venue

Romance is in the air!  What a creative inspiration the location at The French Quarter, Emerald Lakes, Carrara in Queensland lends itself to be. The venue’s European influence boasts sophistication and beauty at every glance.   In this photo shoot the photographers captured breath-taking images of attractive models in eloquent wedding dress Brisbane, against stunning backdrops of earthy coloured buildings and elegant arches, steps, and fountains. The perfect recipe for l’amour.

Photographer

Ben and Hope Photography have always been an inspiration and pleasure to be in affiliation with.  The cloudy weather on the day seemed to present a challenge, as the light was limited, and the sun kept disappearing behind the clouds and buildings.  There was nothing to worry about with the talents of Hope and Ben Photography however, and with the chosen theme and venue, they ensured shots that were exceptional.

Flowers

The subtle warm colours of the backgrounds were mesmerising against the bridal black and white, and the fresh vibrant greens of the bouquet by Moss n Stone.  The sheer innovation in their floral arrangement of subtle, soft yellow roses, against the dramatic fresh large green leaves, was striking. As too, was the rich depth in make-up, applied by Blake Designs, to enhance the bride’s beautiful facial features.

Bridal Dress

My inspiration for this shoot was ‘Persephone’, named after the Greek Goddess of vegetation/life, a wedding gown that I created before and into Covid-19 isolation.  My aim was to help uplift today’s modern bride through a difficult time in history.  This is a graceful, sensual gown displaying bold geometric shapes and patterns.  Each piece of sequenced lace was carefully and painstakingly cut, positioned and hand-sewn into place, with love.  Very sophisticated and unique, comparable to our new situation with Covid-19.

Suit

The groom’s suit was equally well fashioned by Urbbana.  The suave European influenced model flaunted a stylish cravat, as opposed to the traditional tie, and a luxurious high-end textured suit. Again, oozing romantic sophistication.

Hair And Makeup Artist

The emphasis with Georgia’s make-up, applied by Blake Designs, was around her eyes to create the European feel and was balanced by the soft, natural tones of her lips.  Her hair was styled soft and wispy into a flattering, loose pony-tail, and along with chunky diamante earrings and bracelet, she looked stunning.

Models

Our models Georgia and Relja had a distinctly European feel in their appearance.  Georgia had already modelled for us before and therefore, knew how we worked and was able to share her expertise with Relja who has not worked with us before. Relja already had a strong, distinguished European look, being of European origin.

Dogs

Pearl and Vegas from Posh Poodles, also made another star appearance in this photo shoot, adding a whole new level of ‘finesse’ and ‘savoir faire’ to the ambience, along with Rocky the Labradoodle, making his modelling debut in this shoot.

This photo shoot was a lot of fun, and the various elements of this romantic wedding experience were brought together by a team of creative industry professionals.
I hope it inspires you.
With love, as always,
Helena x
