Styled Bridal Shoot – Natural Organic Beauty – Gold Coast, Australia
Mother Nature Might Have Given Us Lower Than Average Temperature, Minimal Sunlight And Threatened To Open The Sky With Rain All Day But We Still Captured The Essence Of Sol Gardens. I Hope You Enjoy Our Adventure, As Much As We Did.

Venue
Sol Gardens, Currumbin Valley, Queensland, the chosen venue for this photo shoot, had Mother Nature’s ‘wow’ factor! This venue offered an abundance of photo opportunities, from cute romantic hideaways to a quaint picturesque bridge, constructed from old railway sleepers exuding rustic texture and charm. Even the journey through Currumbin Valley was breath-taking, with its winding roads through lush paddocks and greenery. We soon realised we were in for a real treat!
Photography
Zoe-Marie Photography encapsulated Sol’s natural, organic charm and showcased its picturesque foliage, rocks, and streams. Mother Nature had created the most perfect and relaxing environment that we could have ever wished for. A swing hung from a massive old tree that bursts with vibrant evergreen leaves. It seemed as old as time and became an awesome prop against the water’s edge for romantic, playful images.

Tiara And Crystal Buttonhole
Hayden’s eye-catching button-hole bouquet featured natural crystals to compliment those worn by Emily in her Tiara, by Crystal Dreamz by Ali .

Hair And Makeup
Emily’s make-up by Emilia Maria Makeup + Hair was natural and dewy complimenting her flawless skin and accentuating her natural features. Her hair was intricately woven, each strand giving depth and texture to a soft low bun.
Models
My loyal followers may remember our fun-loving, adventurous models from an earlier shoot, Emily and Hayden. Their love at first sight story in real life shone through in the imagery, once again, along with their love for adventure. The neutral soft tones of their outfits were great, against the organic, darker backdrops. Their natural beauty and personality was blinding as it shone through.
Dress
The wedding dress ‘Ireland’, by Helena Couture Designs, complimented Emily’s hourglass shape with a layered feminine, soft, and flowy design. The ruched silk organza was staggered and layered throughout the lower waist of the dress and then embellished with flowers, that were weaved through, to soften the lines. The angles of draped Chantilly and floral lace over the floaty tulle skirt, created an exquisite elegance in its randomness, correlating to that found in nature, generating balance in its asymmetry.
I love to experiment with the mix of different techniques and materials. To show how there is balance in the effects of such materials, that looked to be random, are actually placed precisely into position. The different techniques use on Ireland do not over power each other, but instead create harmony.
Suiting
Hayden modelled a light sand colour linen/cotton blend suit with matching ivory tie and shirt, styled by Black Jacket Suiting. It was important that Hayden was dressed in the light natural tones, not only for the organic feel we were wanting to achieve, but also due to the dark heavy foliage. We didn’t want Hayden to blend into the shadows, which would have happened if he were in a darker coloured suit. This is very important to keep in mind, as many weddings are taking place, not only outdoors but in highly dense country sides.

Flowers
The deconstructed floral arrangements from, Flowers by W Events, ‘popped out’ against the backdrops. The balance of flora varying in colour from soft pastels, tarty citrus, warm reds and earthy browns, with the spray of green and white tones was “blooming beautiful”.

Cake
The exquisite seminude wedding cake by Sweet Art Creation Cakes, was layered with a deliciously tangy lemon curd with minimal dried citrus fruit and flowers for decoration. Their natural soft and citrus tones were stunning and the minimal organic decoration was all that was required, due to the abundance of foliage as back drop from Sol Gardens.
Stylist
Although Mother Nature provided us most of our styling naturally, Arctic Fox Events created two romantic scenes: roasting marshmallows by the open fire pit, and inside with cozy cushions and wine.

This lux bohemian theme showcased earthy, organic tones in the rug; plush ottomans and soft cushions; the sparkle of crystal glassware; large shinning gold bowl; wood and wicker.

Another shoot with significant success, especially by the photographer making the most of all the available light. We had to start the shoot earlier than anticipated that day, due to the forecast of afternoon rain. Working with a team of professionals never really feels like work because it runs so smoothly, but this shoot was more enjoyable and relaxing than usual because of the resort like environment.
